Edgewater Community Partners

Our model encourages community groups to focus on the work they love and set out to do.

100% of donations made are controlled by the Project Manager assigned within the partner community group.

Through this partnership, the Overhead Project provides each community group with a website, weekly invoicing, donation collection, and receipting. Most importantly, as the Overhead Project is a registered 501(c)(3), all donations are tax deductible.

Additionally we partner with the 48th Ward Alderman, Harry Osterman, to fund specific community-enriching initiatives.

Fund for Edgewater

Donations to the Fund for Edgewater, an endowed fund, are invested alongside the Founding Group's Core Donation to provide sustainable financial support for community partners and funding for Overhead Project initiatives. All donations to the Fund for Edgewater are backed by a distribution guarantee to five registered 501c3 organizations in the Edgewater Community. Meaning, if the Overhead Project is dissolved, all funds will remain in the Edgewater Community. We don't plan on this happening, but we are serious about keeping funding in the community.

Once established, the Fund for Edgewater will publish all holdings on a quarterly basis. Our investing principles are long term, sustainable, and low cost. If you are interested in learning more please contact Peter at: peter@overheadproject.org

The Overhead Project will update it's financial holdings at the end of each fiscal quarter. Community donors will be reported in number only, however all donor records are available to the financial institutions we hold accounts with. Donations come in through Paypal and get transferred to a bank account at the UW Credit Union. When this transfer occurs we will publish a donation deposit in the donation holding account listed below.

You can review our Donation information here.  Donations made to a Partner Community Group are made available to the assigned Project Manger. Donations to the Overhead Project will be used to grow the organization or invest in the endowment.
